For me the position of Senior Aide is one of great responsibility. It
not only takes someone who is good at training novices but they also
must be patient and aim to relax the poor fraught interviewee.

And believe me I was one of those poor fraught interviewees. If it
wasn't for the patience of the Senior Aide who interviewed me I would
probably never have made it out of novicehood, let alone become a full
Magus.

All our current Senior Aides, and above, have these qualities in
abundance and I would like to keep the standard as high as it is
currently.

With this in mind I would like the process to be one of offering an
interview, with either the HoN or Lead Novice Aide, for the promotion to
the position of Senior Aide.

Hopefully this will ensure the continued high quality of those in the
position and also that the interviews are as pleasurable, well as
pleasurable as interviews can be, for the interviewee.
