Dear Arxalant:
I believe your suggestion about Midsummer to be a good one, and as such,
I put forth a suggestion of my own. Lord Rahn is not the only Deity in
the Garden to be without a month to honour Him or Her.
During the month of Midautumn, the harvest moon begins to rise above
Sapience and with it, the year begins to wane. The days lengthen, the
shadows begin to grow, and the aura of Mystery is celebrated in all its
glory. During Midautumn, the fruits of growth are recognized and
gathered and symbolically, new research projects begin. The Lady Niuri
recognizes all academic and scholastic endeavors of this sort, and I
would propose that She be recognized by renaming Midautumn Niuran.
The harvest moon guides many a Druid's academic journey. When the first
of Niuran comes, celebrate Her gifts to this realm with great fervor!
May nature bless you,
Rosalind Aruinn-Geas
