Dearest Aetolians,
There is a flaw in Daelar's argument. Can any reasonable individual be
convinced that a being of pure, holy Light would be 'happy' and
'honored' married to a Chaos Demon? I think not. No matter how many
people attempt to justify Azumi and Torr's heinous crime, their actions
will always be just that. If Azumi and Torr were so idiotic as to
believe such a lie, therein is guilt enough. But, after the crime was
committed, even after Azumi was told the 'truth,' he justified his
'benevolent' actions and showed no remorse for his angel's torment. In
fact, Azumi was engaged to Avialle when the crime occured and remained
engaged to her well-after the entire episode concluded. Wasn't Avialle a
part of the horrible people who used such brilliant trickery on him?
Though he is attempting to enter the Chaos Plane to reclaim his angel,
Azumi still maintains that his deed was 'good.' That he'd not change a
thing about his actions. Why do you wish to 'save' the angel now? Have
the dreams of angels writhing in torment awakened you as well, Azumi?
Why does Daelar feel the need to protect someone he used and lied to?
Does he have a conscience underneath his cannibalism? Should I perhaps
describe the better points of evil to Daelar as he tries to teach the
better points of Good to us? The hyprocrisy of anyone extolling Torr and
Azumi's virtues, especially one who conspired in their crime, is
unbelievable. They gave up their angels to be brides to demons. They
severed their link with their angels willingly, sold them into slavery,
and justified their actions as the highest amongst men...Need I say
more?
For the Light,
