Poetry News Post #941

Untitled

Written by: Slyphian Gwendolyn De'vyen, Crushed Blossom
Date: Tuesday, June 1st, 2004
Addressed to: Everyone

Fluttered petal, winged from my eye
Like so many fallen blossoms in the autumn of our lives
Verdant leaves, soon brittle and crisp
Following their monarch petals to their rest
Vacated moisture from our stems, sucked away and silenced
Processes deliberate, frail and stiff in the colder winds
Lilted, dying cries from those around us,
Ecstatic burst of the husks as we crumble
Sloughed off like skin, and dusted downdown.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Chakros, in the year 130 MA.
