Take me down by the river
And let my feet be washed
Hold my hand and close my eyes
Such cool, such calm.
Pleasant breeze and companion robin,
Sing your trills together for me,
And splash the river across my skin.
Caress my mind with your soft spoke word
Like you always said you would.

Bury me deep within the earth,
White marble statue and charm
Skin cold, and mud packed tight
My pulse is throbbing, throbbing in my ears,
Or is that the rhythm of the earth,
My own heart silenced by the stone.
Silenced, lids closed, mouth sealed.
Waiting

Trepid mind fluttering with desire and dream,
Illusions of a time when stone is melted away
And soft hands wave through the silken rivers once more,
Remembering a time, a drift in the dj vu
A sullen moment of hope, feeling the waves against my body
Realizing suddenly my entombment in the ground,
Floundering to grasp the visions as they fade,
Praying for someone to dig me up and break the shell.

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Arios, in the year 130 MA.
