Coming Down

This is the way
We come undone

In the motion of a wrist
Consequence so bloodless
That we, perhaps, didn't recognize it at all

Coming down
Is getting harder now
Coming down to you
Is like coming home to a strangers arms

But nothing can quite match the majesty
The blue aching beauty of a tender word
dying on your lips
Nothing can top this
This terrible sense of failure that I've wrought
And I've found
That coming down
Can't be the worst part
When I'm coming down into a strangers arms

There is something more than this
The terrible loving care with witch
I watch this fall apart
A cold room will greet me, where you used to be
And a wall of circumstance will be my guide
Along the dark hallways of my making
Yet coming down
Coming down can be so easy
When it's in a strangers arms.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Arios, in the year 128 MA.
