The Willow

Weeping willow with branches so
You thrive when they go
Others cut you then give you pain
For every loss there is some gain
Yet you are never the same.

Weeping willow with bark for skin
You must be hurt with bark peelin
Others pierce you and watch you bleed
They twist the knife, on your agony they feed
Yet your pain never goes away

Weeping willow with roots so deep
What cruel secrets do you keep
Others act and chop you for the fire
Your agony they ignore in their desire
Yet your future never changes

Weeping willow with stories to tell
You must live in eternal ell
Others do as they want to you
Your dreams of peace you want to be true
Yet that lie will never come to pass

Penned by my hand on Kinsday, the 24th of Khepary, in the year 502 MA.
