Out of the Box

I'm sorry to be contrary, but a term caught my eye in your post.

All day you're sitting in a box-like cell,
Contemplating extemporaneous
Actions to escape your self-made shell
In order to become spontaneous.
A paradigm personification,
If you will, can be likened to a box
within one sleeps in putrification,
In a stifling room, without doors or locks.
This coffin surrounds you, a catacomb,
Representing stagnation of psyche
In which you are lonesome, but not alone,
Permeated with rotting thoughts, like he
The philosopher, so non-comformist
Who finds himself a true uniformist.

Try to think out of a box, you're in one.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Slyphian, in the year 134 MA.
