Call for Celani!

We are looking for a few new Celani! Ever dream of learning the tricks
of the Grand Artifice from Severn, the subtleties of progress from
Slyphe, or the many ways to evoke Passion from Omei? Do you see yourself
as the type that can take humiliation and abuse from the countless
generations of Celani before you that have all passed through the
ancient hazing ritual known only as 'the Goat, the Chain, and the
thief?' Do you dream of one day masterfully taking the helm of one of
the many orders of Aetolia?
Well do we have a job for you!
Qualifications:
- You *must* be 18 years of age or older to be a Celani
- One of your characters must have 500 hours of playing time
- You must have a 'good' past relationship with the Celani and the
administration. (Note that I didn't say perfect here.) Shrubs need not
apply.
- You must be willing to give up all your mortal characters
- You must be willing to learn to build for Aetolia
- You must be willing to devote at least 10 hours a week towards your
projects
- You cannot be a volunteer on another MUD.
How to apply:
- Send the following questions to celani@aetolia.com:
1) Why you? What makes you the perfect candidate as a Celani?
2) What specific skills can you bring to the position that would aid the
game as a whole? Are you a coder, a web designer, a high school teacher,
a customer service representative, or something else that has a specific
skill that you see as valuable to the position.
3) Write for us three sample room descriptions. That includes what is
the top line of a room description (which we call the brief_desc)
and the big long paragraph blurb (which we call the verbose_desc). You
should be imaginative with these descriptions, showing good grammar,
writing skills, and proper choice of theme. You should vary the
descriptions and not write about the same thing.
4) Tell us if you could do anything in the realm as a Celani, what would
it be.
5) Tell us what you hope to get out of being a Celani.
6) Finally, let us know a little biography about you. We want to know
your name, your age, where you live, and a few interesting things about
yourself.
One final note: Being a Celani is definitely not for everyone. It is not
a guarantee of Godhood, nor is it a guarantee of even getting to work on
projects you developed. Nearly every project that Celani work on are
assigned to them. While there is room for artistic intrepretation, if
you do not like working in a detail oriented position that requires
decent writing skills, self-discipline, and organizational skills, you
probably will not enjoy being a Celani.

P.S. Yes, if you have previously applied before, you must apply again.
P.P.S. No, you cannot use rooms that you already wrote for your house, etc.
