Celesmas

As you all know, the season of Celesmas is upon us. And as you probably
all know, truly amazing things occur during the season of Celesmas. So,
let Me throw out the definitive guide to Celesmas:
Q: Is Celesmas related to some otherworldly holiday where diminutive
imps run around using wooden hammers on boring toys?
A: No! Celesmas is related to a time period in an other-worldly
calendar, but it is not related to any of the holidays that fall within
that period. The official dates of Celesmas (in that otherworldly
calendar) is Dec 25-January 1st.
Q: What's this about mistletoe? And decorative trees? Do I need to bring
a gift?
A: Everyone knows that mistletoe is to cure the nasty afflictions the
necromancers give out. And I dare you to wander in the Morgun and try to
decorate one of the trees. And you can bring a gift as long as 'gift'
means your devotion to slaughtering all the gnomes of Gorshire, or to
vanquishing evil from the lands.
Q: What's so special about Celesmas anyway? I hate holidays.
A: Umm...you wouldn't be able to ask the question if you didn't have
sentience, dummy. The sentience that Varian Himself gave you the first
Celesmas. You'd be a bunch of mindless cretins eating mud and running in
fear from the horrible tortures Chakrasul and Severn would visit upon
you.
Q: Yeah, yeah. But what has Celesmas done for me lately?
A: Well, let's see. A few decades ago, the constellations fell from the
sky to ravage the lands, only to be replaced by the less painful
constellations we see today during the following Celesmas. And everyone
seems nicer during Celesmas. And there won't be any wars during
Celesmas, really!
Q: So what is Celesmas going to bring this year?
A: Oh, I'm sure you'd like to pry everyone of My secrets out of My head,
wouldn't you. Well you can't. But the following schedule might help you
out a bit.
December 25th: Individual Bloodbath
December 28th: A Starfall event
December 30th: A City vs. City free for all
December 31th: A quiz, sponsored by yours truly!
And of course, you never know what else might happen during Celesmas.
A more detailed schedule including times will be released in the
upcoming days. But rest assured, I think it will be behoovy to be
around.
