Artisanal contest

First I'd like to announce a change in the Artisanal contest. Beginning
with April's contest, artists with contest entries should submit them at
http://www.aetolia.com/irex/artbard/. Note that you must click "login"
at the bottom of the page in order to submit a work - please login with
your Aetolia character name and password. This system will greatly
streamline the process of judging the artisanal contest, and should thus
result in faster judging. Please do not e-mail your works to
artists@aetolia.com any longer.

If you're thinking about creating an artisanal work for the contest,
please be aware that one of our chief criteria for awarding submitted
works is whether they depict a recognizably Aetolian theme. Fantasy art
is replete with drawings of mounted paladins and reclining nymphs and
whatnot. What we're looking for are works that clearly depict something
distinctly Aetolian.

So without further ado, I'm pleased to announce the winning entries for
January-March:

-WINNERS-
Leana's Ceremony of Awakening, by Kirai
The Morning After, by Lakota

-RUNNERS-UP-
Self-portrait, by Ahten
Rock Devil, by Arinwen
Paladin, by Kaisser
Raja in the Jungle, by Lakota
The Prettiest Fish in Green Lake, by Sachiel

-MERIT AWARDS-

Young Willow, by Gibran
Takara Justii in Dun Fortress, by Tismi

Bloodborn Scythe, by Draiman
Dragon Rider, by Drexian

The winning entries can be viewed right now at
http://www.aetolia.com/art.shtml. Congratulations to them all!
