Celani roster update & applications

Hi folks,

Just an update from behind the curtain: we’ve recently done some housekeeping on the volunteer roster and parted ways with a number of Celani, most of whom weren’t really active anymore, while a couple of others left for personal reasons. Nothing dramatic and no hard feelings involved – some people just drift away over time, and that’s fine. But we’d rather the Pools be made up of people who are actually around, working on things, and interacting with you all as players, rather than names on a list.

That’s the direction we want to take things going forward: a smaller, more active crew that’s visibly making the game better. You should hopefully feel the results of that over time.

The flipside of trimming the roster is that we now have open slots, and would of course love to fill them. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering – whether that’s building, writing, running events, or just making Aetolia a more interesting place to be – now is a genuinely good time to apply. And as a general reminder: applications are always open, not just when we post about it. If you’re on the fence or have questions about what being a Celani actually involves, keep an eye on the Celani Q&A thread on Discord – you may see one or two of them popping back in soon, so you can get answers straight from the horse’s mouth!
