More than either

A single message, a heartfelt tendril
like a rose, an open petal
your heart opened
and I was broken.
Heart in turmoil.

Slowly, piece by piece,
you gave me peace.
From afar we spoke
whispers among all the smoke.
You saved me.

With words spoken true,
a troubled heart was subdued.
With a touch,
a heart was uncluthed
Chains removed.

Often I say,
words not enough.
Like waves crashing,
we collided.
Love blossomed.

Soon, we will be wed,
words spoken.
Our destiny,
combined.
Words plus body,
but more than either.

To my beloved,
my darling,
my sun and star,
to the secret names
we whisper.

Wylliam Laidir

Penned by my hand on Tisday, the 7th of Midsummer, in the year 468 MA.
