Denizines of Sapience, Rejoice,
The Great Lady Lleis, Goddess of Renewal has returned to the Realm.
I will here try to best describe the events that lead to this wonderous
event. Please forgive any holes in my story, the past few days have been
turbulent and my memory never was my sharpest aspect.
Aparently it began when the villagers of Tomacula unearthed a strange,
shining glass object.
For reasons unbeknownst to be, Elegnem, the shaman of the tribe, somehow
became possessed by some strange power the object was emitting. This
strange dark force drove her to cling ferociously to the object as a
strange shield, strong enough to deny access to even the Lord Rahn and
Lady Niuri, arose from it and enveoped the Tomacula village.
The situation seemed stagnent, for the power that drove Elegnem gave a
sort of invincibility, despite a series of dazzling attacks by a few
brave, concerned (perhaps a bit hasty) warriors.
Rahn and Niruir both took paticular interest in this object. So, each
one set up a censer on either side of the object's location.
Thus began a very very... VERY long period of time, lasting days, where
those who supported Rahn and those who supported Niuri exchanged
rhetorical banters (neither side convining the other of anything) and
also attemting to grasp strange spheres of energy though would appear
near the object... for these spheres when offered to the censers would
weaken the devine defiant shield.
Niuri wanted to gain knowledge by studying the object, Rahn wanted to
purify it, for there was in fact somehting very dark and sinister about
the object... reminicent of the dark one who's name I will not utter
here.
eventually Niuri's followers managed to weaken the shield in her name,
and Sekhtet confidently marched south to the object, and immediatly
began to study it. Apparently it was quite full of a terribly dark
energy, and any energy put into it would amplify. Alas, under Sekhtet's
touch, the orb cracked open, oozing a dark liquid from which a horde of
Draghar sprung.... terror ensued as they slaughtered many brave souls.
Shortly after a force from the Garden destroyed what was left of the
orb. Shortly after the entire Savannah shook under a terribly earthquake
as the enter landscape changed, it was scorched and twisted into a
scrubland... all seemed lost.
However, upon exploration of the scrubland, it became aparent that it
was no barren wasteland. Rather beautiful buds emerged through the ashes
of the old growth. Pockets of new life emerged amidts the destruction.
shortly after, behind a great Chasm, a temple was found.... the Temple
of LLeis.
Aparently, the Dark One had impissoned the Goddess of Renewal long long
ago, the object being her pison, constantly being reinforced with
despair. When it was cracked, along with the draghars, She escaped and
ascended to her rightful place once again.
Her renewing presence has already made iteself known, as the ravaged
land of the Savannah has already begun to put forth new life, and the
villagers of Tumacula have began a new life with their new children as
the Mitrines.
Lleis has returned, all rejoice and hail, the cycle of life has a new
champion.
Hail Lleis, Goddess of Renewal
