Pazuza and Sssall

As many of you know I had been in love with Pazuza for many years. We
have had a long term engagement (only one other couple has a current
engagement longer than ours).

I still remember that first time I entered her grove not suspecting what
would later transpire over time. From our first tentative kiss to the
joys shared by lovers, two hunters sharing everything together. She was
a master seamstress and wood crafter, having designed many unique items
shared only between the two of us. Her tender care and mastery of
healing herbs soothed my injuries as well as my spirit.

Unfortunately we have not had much contact in close to 2 decades. My
last message from her dates back to over 5 years ago. Other pressing
matters have taken her away from me and the realm. My soul retched in
agony over the time spent without her. Long have I traveled the places
where we walked and hunted together. I remember when her grove was
flooded, and how distraught she was initially. But then, when the water
receded, she reveled in the small spring and pond that adorned her
grove.

I have long held onto a design for a pair of matching wedding rings, one
that invoked the essence of both of our beings. I have now, with much
chagrin, commissioned only one, a ring to remember what I once had.
Although the original design upon the stone showed nothing but joy, the
artist rendition of this will denote a sense of sadness and loss.

Sssall, Warden of the South.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Ios, in the year 95 MA.
