While many of you know me as Murad Amaratha an Occultic Probate, I do
not know most of you. But most of you also don't know about what
happened in Shallam.
The story begins a few aetolian months ago, two young occultic novices
were questing for experience in shallam. They unknowingly were doing the
Cave for the devotion users as they were just questing for experience,
yes Valiarde thats right EXPERIENCE.
Valiarde being the brave and powerful sultan that he is, enemied these
NOVICES and killed them without giving them safe conduct to the gate.
Now let me ask you all something, what would you do in this instance as
an Occultist?
Well it's quite simple return the gift of death to Valiarde, and so I
entered Shallam with malice for one person, but Kaahl, Vigil, and even
Lononcalig stepped up to defend their Sultan, sadly they perished for
their Sultan's cowardice and crimes.
The next month at the Fist of Dameron, Valiarde came again and we did
battle and many times did Valiarde run from me, or from others who
sought his overly large head.
Until Prince Zahmekoses Nebre'seir arrived Valiarde had been to keen on
escaping however that all changed, with Valiarde's first death. He
seemed to snap, and what insued was gross insults resulting in even more
deaths to Valiarde.
Admittedly I stood outside the cave with anger in my heart and my spine
shivering with excitement because finally he had gotten his the seeminly
"untouchable" Valiarde per say had been stricken down to nothing but a
sniveling, insulting, coward.
The insults that were thrown and the things that were said, could make a
veteran sailor of 20 years blush.
Against shallam I have no qualms, it is against Valiarde and only
Valiarde. The fact that I killed your guards for protecting Valiarde is
quite gruesome but to one who practices the arts that I do think about
it this way, the shortest distance between two points is a straight
line. The shortest distance however may not be the easiest or best way
to do something. But it is the way of those with the power to do what
they want to do.
So to shallam I apologise for all I had to do to them to accomplish and
make them realize what was going on.
To Sir Kaahl, a man without fear and with a great deal of honor and
trust, in the end it was he who listened to all that had transpired and
it was HE who made Shallam listen to the facts.
To Sir Koujin, the fact that you were willing to take your enemies side
in a conflict of morals shows your true potential as a Paladin as a true
knight.
