I barely ever write on this board, but I am utterly disgusted in people
sticking their noses in other city's business. To those who have written
on this board about Ashtan, I have a few things to say..

Until you are in the shoes of an Ashtanite, until you bleed for Ashtan,
until you shed tears for Ashtan, until you are APART of Ashtan, you have
_no right_ to say what you think you know about Ashtan. My City has had
problems just like all other cities, but we shall prevail as we always
have. I do not pretend to know about Shallam, and you should not pretend
to know about Ashtan.

And Alastra .. Ashtan's Council may be made up by a majority of
Consanguine, but that does not mean Ashtan is dead. All of our archons
care for and love Ashtan, all of our Archons work for the _best_ of
Ashtan .. And when they stop doing their job, they are quickly replaced
by those who care and who are willing to do their job.

In parting, I have to say this .. I was told before that Shallam does
not allow Necromancers into the City. Why? Because Necromancers work
against Shallam's values. And you know what? That is fine, I have
nothing bad to say about Shallam because of that. In truth, I have
nothing bad to say about Shallam at all. Ashtan has a different purpose,
however, and that is to accept everyone from all classes and beliefs.
Whether you agree with that or not is not Ashtan's problem, so please
take your nose -out- of Ashtan's business.
