Vampires

There seems to be a lot of confusion about what vampirism is.
Some claim it is a "class" and others wish to claim it as a
race and a class. These are each interesting claims. I put
forth support for Elden's words calling it a plague. From
all the facts, it seems to me that vampirism is a disease.
Let us look at some facts. One, a person of a race can change
by the will of the gods to another race once during their life.
They can use this chance before or after they have become a
vampire. When this change occurs, it does not change their
status as a vampire. You can not reincarnate into a vampire.
No one is born a vampire. This shows that vampires are not
a race. Two, someone within a class can choose to leave that
class and join another. Vampires do not seem to have that
choice. Vampires also do not gain class as all others do,
instead they are infected by one of those with the disease.
I believe these facts counter the idea of being a class or a
race. As for being a greater more perfect being...well, we
could argue this all day, but there are some many catches to
the life of a vampire. Allergy to the sun, barring outside to
them half of every day. The constant need for blood of the
so-called imperfect mortals just to survive. Many have begged
for the cure. Some of the names that have come to me would
surprise you. Be careful of choosing to be one of the disease
ridden corpses which are wandering the countryside.
