Necromancy

I cannot speak for all the necromancers, but I am sure most will agree
that we do not seek to destroy the world in which we live. Lord Varian
is the Satus-- He is the only one who may create and therefore destroy.
Necromancy does not destroy energy-- for energy can neither be created
nor destroyed, except by Lord Varian.

Necromancers in their greedy lust for power, will lead our world to
oblivion if there is nothing to counter their voracious appetites for
essence.

We do not seek to lead the world to oblivion. To do so would be foolish.
I, personally, wish to see a content -world-, whereby all citizens are
content with their own station in life. Why would we want to rule over
something that will eventually be destroyed? Nay, we seek to nurture the
world, and advance it further, to a higher state of transcendent
enlightenment. Any ruling class is only as powerful as the whims of the
people.

All I ask is that citizens of the world not jump to conclusions about
necromancy, or the end result of those with necromantic power. Our
knowledge is only a means to an end. If the end satisfies the masses of
civilization, and the means do not harm too many, why complain? I
personally hate no one. I also try not make others hate me. Speak to me
if you wish, and I'll explain my thoughts.

Lord Consul Saladin, the Obsidian Caliph

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Slyphian, in the year 57 MA.
