To those it may concern:

RL, operating based on a hive mind, defends all of its assets- down to a
single individual. An assault on an RL member is an assault on the whole
of the Legion itself, and subject to retaliation at our nearest
convenience. This is more than we can say for many organizations out
there.

If you cannot comprehend the strategy behind maintaining exterminations
through a single entity instead of multiple ones, you are far beyond the
education the Legion can offer you.

On a similar note Margali, had our proposal to Duiran been accepted
(instead of rejected by Ech), none of our members would be attacked
while walking on Ulangi and we would have no need to keep it in ashes.
The Legion had warned Duiran about what it would do in order to maintain
its safety, and apparently Ech chose to disregard the warning. So
basically it was Duiran, through its unwillingness to compromise, that
brought Ulangi's status upon itself.

If you want to talk about the reasoning behind our self-defense, you can
basically see it as Renegade Legion being attacked whenever it walks
into a forest room. As such, there are only five individuals that can be
held accountable for these attacks, for they are the only ones able to
implement and remove the conditions that result in said attacks- the
five Benandanti. This also applies- more especially- to Duiran rangers.
Should a ranger assault a Legionnaire, it only does so because it has
been willingly deployed to an area where it would be in a position to
attack one of our members- ie Ulangi. Again, there are only five
individuals that are able to implement and remove the factors that
result in ranger assailants- the five Benandanti. Thus, they are held
accountable. Some people have stated that under this system, cities fall
under similar guidelines in regards to their enemy influence as well.
However, because city enemy status is not nearly as pervasive as is
Duiran enemy status, RL sees no reason to take as forceful measures as
it is taking against more severe organizations.

Since you don't appear to be listening Margali, let it be explained to
you again:

We are not asking you to grant us Ulangi. We are asking you to leave us
alone. If you don't realize you have the "power" to do so, it is rather
quite simple. You may 1) Unenemy any and all of our individuals that are
being threatened (Ech, with his rejection of our proposal, refused this
first option) or you may 2) Leave Ulangi defoilated until such a time as
RL can walk upon Ulangi without being attacked by plant life or other
auxiliary forces.

So no Margali, we are not asking for the same thing. We are not asking
for a gold penalty paid to our organization, nor are we demanding rights
to exterminate anywhere and anytime, neither do we desire munitions
compensation for our losses. RL is simply asking you to leave us alone,
and the methods for doing so are listed in the above paragraph.

As for Ysni: RL does not forget that Ulangi is also home to the Horkval
and the Grook. However, your semi-appeal to authority by referring to
Oorangu's actions is misguided. To get down to it, "Oorangu's" actions
were taken in order to provide a means of implementing a better balance
to realm mechanics. If you know what we are talking about,
congratulations for having a decent amount of intellect. If you do not,
we are sorry to say 'figures.'

Once more, please remember that RL, being based on a communal structure,
regards each of its assets as being a part of a whole. The Legionnaires
fully stand behind and defend all of its members aggressively and to the
best of their ability.

Understand, it is not that you cannot give us what we want. It is that
you, to the detriment of everyone else (and yes it is you, regardless of
how you try to switch it around), _will not_.

End note.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Slyphian, in the year 88 MA.
