Assassinations

I too must speak up about the senseless killings that have been
affecting many people I know lately. The cover of the 'confidential
assassination' has been used in each case, and I am concerned these are
simply being used to provide cover for more than contract killings.
Confidential Assassinations provide a nice little cover for a group of
highly amoral people to kill people in teams, without fear of
retribution from many of the realm (as not many are mighty enough), and
with an unquestionable cover.
This practise destroys any credibility the concept of assasinations has
within Aetolia. Confidentiality shouldn't be a viable option for it.
((And letting this type of thing flourish is a huge discouragement to
any decent roleplaying.)) Many people use the ease with which one of
these amoral people can be hired and assassination as a way to escape
their own problems without dealing with them themselves.
And all this does not even mention the highly depressive effect such a
kill without meaning has on the victim of the assassination.
All this does not mean that people should not be allowed to find
themselves a champion if they find themselves not mighty enough to
effect a challenge they wish to perform, but all this cloak and dagger
crap has got to go. It is far too easily abused.
