Greetings, Aetolia. I hope the time of this reading finds you well.

Well, as some have known was impending, the time for my departure has
come. I will be away for a few years. Before I go, there are a couple of
things I would like to address.

First, as to my change in guilds, since so many have asked. On reaching
an age where choosing a guild became an option, I was faced with a
dilemna: do I join the magi, or the druids? I pondered this question for
many months, and finally decided upon the magi. The magi guild was good
to me for many years. I learned a great deal during my time in the magi,
made wonderful life long friends, and hopefully was able to make an
impact on others through my service there. Only time will tell.

However, for some time now I have noted small changes in the magi guild.
Coincidentally, the things that were changing were the same things which
drew me to that guild over the druids in my youth. Along with these
changes, I've begun to notice slight changes in my person, changes which
I did not like. I felt it was time to do something. If I did not act, I
would have continued a personal downward spiral. I re-evaluated my
options, and found myself once again longing for the life of the druids.
As a friend pointed out to me recently, I sort of bumbled my way into
politics, didn't screw up too bad, and hopefully passed something
useable to the next in line. But this is not me. That is not what I want
for my life. So, from now on, I'll live as a druid. The magi treated me
very well, and I owe them an eternal debt of gratitude, but it is time
for me to move on to what I can truly settle into for a lifetime.

Now *ahem* on a /less/ personal matter.

I am happy to announce the formation of the Scalorians. Many have asked
me for some time what this clan is about. Well, now I'm ready to tell
you. Myself and some others have taken it upon ourselves to form a
school for novices. If you read my prior post, requesting knowledge
topics, this is what is was about. My brother Alistair, in particular,
is putting in a lot of time trying to help me arrange details for the
organization and running of the school, as well as the courses of study
we will focus on. The doors of the school, as it were, are not yet open.
While I am away, Alistair and some others will be formalizing some
details and studies. If you think you have direct knowledge which could
be applied to the curriculum, please send Alistair a message stating
such, and he will get in touch with you from there.

Well, to my closest family and friends... You know I am very forgetful,
and if this is the first you've heard of my leaving... I am very, very
sorry. But I hpoe I didn't miss anyone... And to my not so close family
and friends... well, the same *chuckle* And to Lady Slyphe, I pray that
I would do you proud in my time away.
