To all of Sapience,

I previously sought to champion the claim of the Lady Memory to the Throne of the Ard-Dhasani within Spinesreach. Daughter of Truth and Reason, I thought Her the rightful Heiress - One Who would lead us to salvation and prosperity.

I was mistaken.

Many of Varian's creations have broken, been corrupted, or proven wholly false as time has passed - much like Himself. My faith in Her was premature - rooted in desperation for some greater design or purpose. But Strife breaks away what is false and leaves only the bare truth remaining. I have been broken many times, and in that breaking, I recognize truth:

There is no higher design. We live beneath an indifferent Creator, and Purpose is dead. Any purpose Memory may have been created for, She has defied. She is not Reason. She is not Purpose. She is not even Truth.

I formally renounce my support of the Lady Memory as Heiress of the Throne.

I have risen beyond mortality and delved into the knowledge that She would keep from us all - knowledge that belongs in the hands of those who would use it to better the world, not cast it aside in boredom. I am only mortal, for now, but I will not stop until I have uncovered everything.
