Undoubtedly, you will cling to your last scraps of pride and cry that the Dragon soars so long as the Spires stand. But what need is there to breach your walls, to lay waste to your city, when you are doing such a fine job of destroying it yourselves?

You beg for invasion because a glorious end is all you can hope to salvage from the ruin your folly has wrought. The Spires you boast of have already seen arrogance destroy the Ankyreans, and their witness to your quiet, ignoble decline is the only legacy you can hope to share with your so-called forebearers.

A Dragon would not have surrendered, not even in the face of insurmountable odds. You are nothing more than Nalalsan worms in snakeskin.
