Greetings, Aetolians. I hope the time of this reading finds you all
well.

This post is to announce that there have been major revisions made to
the laws of Shallam, as well as the addition of written commerce laws.
These will be posted to the journal at the gates soon, we hope, but in
the meantime they have been posted to the city's laws scroll (HELP LAWS
SHALLAM) and thus are legally binding from this time forward. Please be
sure to read them and be aware.

The reason for this change is that the council has for some time been
displeased with the coverage, or lack thereof, provided by our city
laws. When the Citizens began to voice a concern as well, we began to
take action. The result is the document mentioned above.

Any current sentences are uneffected by the laws. They will only effect
sentences handed out from this time forward.

Also, keep an eye out for a city position paper, which will address and
clarify a number of points not thus far covered in the laws.
