The Bloodless War

Sapience,

The so-called Underking has announced His surrender. He has admitted He is alone, unsupported by His chosen, and that it is His own fault. I find this respectable. We accept His surrender.

Let me clarify something for the rest of you, since you're clearly too thick to see for yourselves. This war was never about conquering an equal opponent. It wasn't declared to puff up our egos. We did it to send a message.

That message is, firstly: Mind your damned business, or you - or rather, the friends on whose behalf you speak - will suffer the consequences. Challenges provoke blows. This is obvious.

That message is, secondly: Death by His nature must eventually squander those He gathers. He will use you up until He has no further use for you, or until you abandon Him. Either way, His domain is wasting, a sickness that destroys its host and then itself. This is inevitable.

That message is, finally: The Earth endures. You may believe Father Ivoln and His children beaten, yet we are still here. Graciously, the Earth continues to support your thankless feet and accept your wretched corpses. When you are all long gone, It remains. We remain. This is the Gift.

Give thanks, however, for the Lord of Earth is unfailingly generous! You - yes, all of you - are offered the strength of His Gift of Union. You may be spared the wasting of your parasitic God, the Cycle, and all the limitations placed upon you. Reject the lies you've been fed that serve only to fatten you for that which would eventually swallow you up. We await your awakening from the false dream of life.

Heed our invitation, or do not. Only you will suffer the consequences.

May we never know peace.

I am,

Alela
