Aggressions and Diplomacy

To the Vanguard,

You, and all your Heralds, are likely much too young to be boasting about fighting Bloodloch. Perhaps if you spent more time learning the history of your city, you would come to the realization that Enorian has lost countless wars to the city of Bloodloch, time and again ceding your territories to our empire. What you claim as a protectorate has long been a favorite village for the city of Bloodloch to hunt, so much so that they never utter a word to you when they are sla...

Mmm. I digress. Moving on...

The Shamtota Hills border the city of Bloodloch, and are part of the claimed territories of our empire. You can see that for yourself by the red and black banners in the area when you do a quick SURVEY. Throughout the aforementioned wars, Bloodloch has also laid claim in the past to the Pash Valley, the Village of Jaru, the Siroccian Mountains, and countless other swathes of land for the glory of the Empire.

Unfortunately for everyone who had to read the Vanguard's post, maps are only useful for those who can read and interpret them. So allow me to simplify this for you, Vanguard... Enorian's 'extended' territory, the village of Jaru, does border Bloodloch's extended territory, the Shamtota Hills. When you moved your troops into your so called 'protectorate' and 'extended territory', you did not stop them on the borders of your city and the village. You did not place them in the town center, either. You extended your troops to the very outer extremities of the village... mere steps, in fact, from both the Shamtota Hills and the Pash Valley.

Tell me, Vanguard, if Bloodlochian troops had been placed on the edge of the Shamtota Hills, would the city of Enorian not have viewed this as hostility and aggression? Would Enorian not have viewed this as an act of war? Should Bloodloch's claim to extended territory, extend its empire, and its own waving banners be any less accurate than your same claim on the village of Jaru? While I understand that the... citizens... of your city may play some game of 'I am not touching you', I do hope you understand that Bloodloch does not care to play these same childish games.

As already described in the previous post, attempts of diplomacy and mediation included your Herald claiming that Bloodloch is the laughing stock of Sapience. The same Herald that we murdered twice, of course. While you may have failed in your attempts to defend your mouthy and insulting Herald, you also ran back to your city with your heads bowed in defeat.

And here lies one of many fundamental differences between Bloodloch and Enorian. Enorian responds to aggressive action (and a blatant act of war) by scribbling down some drivel composed mostly of contradictions and self-incrimination. Bloodloch responds with power and strength.

We await words from your Herald. Now, if you can actually manage both the apology and the ability to lead your city, we can have actual diplomacy and mediation to discuss our extended territories, and the borders of those territories. Until then, your Herald will die and our troops will continue their march.
