It has come to my attention that organizations
that have deemed me their hated enemy have
gone to extensive measures to yet again
attempt to coerce me into yielding. I have heard
measures of deceiving those with greater power
in hopes of bringing in stronger, more powerful
allies to aid them in their unholy quest for
dominance over all other various entities in
Sapience. I have also heard outright lies from
people claiming to have fulfilled their contracts
on my head. I recommend those people take
their losses, not attempt to salvage their
wounded dignity by propagating further lies in
order to cover up the fact that they failed-
Duiran has done enough of that. In addition,
recently a new opponent has taken up the
banner of Duiran. I hope they paid the assassin
enough to warrant his decayed corpse sprawled
along the highways south of the Bastion of the
North.

It irritates me to see that Duiran has sunk even
deeper in their attempts to subjugate one that
they have already ruined enough. After the
failure of Prince Zahmekoses to fulfill his
contract (as well as being knocked into a fog in
the process) I had believed that Duiran would
not stoop so low as again hiring mercenaries to
handle an issue that they, a regime hundreds of
times my size, should have no problem doing. It
appears I was wrong. Recently the assassin
Belgarion attempted to take a cheap shot at my
life when I was assaulted by a force that
consisted of him as well as a few other
members of the Duiran/Sentinel/Haernite
Alliance. By the strength I draw upon knowing
that my fight against this oppressive force is
just, I managed to put up as strong of a fight as
possible in the face of such overwhelming odds
before breaking off to recuperate and watch as
new scars were added to the much too many
existing ones- ones that have all been inflicted
by Duiran. Why do you soldiers of fortune agree
to Duiran's dirty work? Their vast amount of
wealth that they pay you with have most likely
been taken by others that they have bullied and
extorted. And now what are they intending to do
with their wealth? They seek to further buy and
strong-arm their way into supressing one that
has dared to challenge their corruption. One
that has dared to defy their unjust authority. One
that will not yield to their arrogance and cruelty.
Why not join in the fight against such a power-
hungry alliance that so thoroughly believes it is
either 'Our way, or no way' and know that you
fight for the freedom of those that are too weak
or too fearful to defend themselves?

The freedom fighters of Sapience are fighting to
preserve the rights of individuals to speak out
against totalitarian forces like Duiran. We are
fighting a war to show the tyrants of this land
that as long as people desire to be free, there
will always be those that are ready to take up
arms against authoritarian powers no matter what
the odds.

Our freedom fighters have pledged their strength
to fight back in the name of all those who
have been wronged by forces stronger than them-
forces that believe that because they have
numbers they are entitled to override the
individuality of those weaker than they. Our
warriors challenge the military juggernaut
composed of military bodies derived from the
Duiran/Sentinel/Haernite confederacy anywhere
they can. We defy them in the deserts and on
the highways. We dispute the Confederacy's ill-
gotten power on the roads of villages and on the
waterways between islands- villages, waterways
and islands that the Confederacy most likely
believes should be under their control merely
because they are stronger. We send our
courageous people into the forests themselves
to fling down the gauntlet- forests that are
turned against us because of the Confederacy's
willingness to use any means they deem
necessary to crush those that seek
independence from their iron rule. Even if it
means misusing the great power they were
charged responsible with- the power to control
nature.

Our forces are dwarfed by the sheer mass of
those we oppose. Our fighters are funded out of
their personal pocket. We sometimes fight
without supplies and/or efficient weapons.
Sometimes even without food or sleep. We fight
in the face of exposure and exhaustion, as well
as in the face of a force backed by the
power and wealth of Duiran and its allies. We
fight because we believe that every being on
Sapience should not be bound to the will of
others that are so morally bankrupt and cruel.

We fight for you.
