Spirokai, negotiations

The following is a conversation I had with Spirokai in an attempt to
negotiate with him to have his enemy status from Duiran removed.

You tell Spirokai, "Care to negotiate?"

You tell Spirokai, "Your 'non-negotiable' terms will never be met but
I'm at least willing to offer you a reasonable settlement."

Spirokai tells you, "One person, no grace, place of my choosing."

You tell Spirokai, "One person, I'm not ungracing, you can choose the
location."

Spirokai tells you, "Your lack of faith compared to the one I showed to
Duiran for two years does not impress me."

You tell Spirokai, "It's not you I'm worried about."

You tell Spirokai, "I can handle you."

Spirokai tells you, "If you say so."

Spirokai tells you, "Well, I gave terms, you can come to ashtan if you
like."

--At this point it took me several minutes to reply.

Spirokai tells you, "Well then, I take it as a no."

You tell Spirokai, "I'm on my way."

Spirokai tells you, "Change of plans."

Spirokai tells you, "You may bring one person."

Spirokai tells you, "Both of you are expected to be ungraced as a
gesture of your good faith- a small token in comparison to what I have
given."

You tell Spirokai, "And who are you bringing?"

Spirokai tells you, "None of your concern, you will know when you
arrive."

You tell Spirokai, "Negotiations will not commence if your companion is
Dillon as I see it is."

Spirokai tells you, "Well gwho."

Spirokai tells you, "Come."

Spirokai tells you, "And leave your lackey outside."

You tell Spirokai, "I didn't bring one."

--Now we have the place for negotiations set at the Common room of the
Crystal Leaf Inn where I met him, rather than in Ashtan as was
originally planned.

Spirokai nods his head emphatically.

Spirokai says, "You still walk in grace."

Spirokai taps his foot with mild impatience.

You say, "As I stated I would be."

--Here Spirokai defs up with cohosh, kola, sileris, two drunken vials
and one applied.

Spirokai says, "And as I stated, negotiations will not even begin until
both sides are equally stanced."

You say, "And you def up. As for battle."

Spirokai says, "Yes, Duiran members' treachery is quite well known to
me."

You say, "As is Dillon's."

Spirokai says, "You may def up if you wish."

Spirokai says, "I prepare myself as warranted."

Spirokai says, "If you do not wish to ungrace, simply say so."

You say, "I'm graced. I see no reason to def up as I won't need them for
fighting."

Spirokai says, "Ungracing, yes or no?"

You say, "No."

Spirokai says, "You are asking me to negotiate again, basically
extending a lot of faith and you give nothing in return."

Spirokai shrugs helplessly.

Spirokai waves goodbye.
Spirokai, riding a charred chariot, leaves to the south.
He is followed by a charred chariot, a withered crone, a chaos hound, a
chaos
storm, a bubonis, a chimera, a humbug, a soulmaster, a green slime, a
worm, an
ethereal firelord, a bloodleech, a chaos orb, a sharp-toothed gremlin, a
simpering Sycophant, a dervish, a minion of chaos, a pathfinder, and
Spirokai.

You tell Spirokai, "Given your head is going to line the highway shortly
if you don't negotiate I think I've given you plenty in return and yet
you don't even stay to hear my proposal. You're childish and arrogant
and you dare to call us greedy and oppresive."

Spirokai tells you, "You Duiran tyrants should really come up with new
threats."

Spirokai tells you, "Kaga and Relandroc have already done that one to
death."

You tell Spirokai, "I'm not threatening. I'm stating that plan B
involves you dying a lot. This is plan A. It's your choice."

Spirokai tells you, "Well if thats the way you feel, I'm glad to take
note of it."

Dillon tells you, "I see you are hiding behind grace. It is not wise to
threaten people from behind it, as it will be stripped."

You tell Dillon Tem'kiar, "I am not threatening anyone. The whole
conversation will be accessible to the public just as soon as I get done
posting."

You tell Dillon Tem'kiar, "I was showing him the alternatives to
negotiating which he apparently decided to choose. My offer was rather
simple. I'll leave it to others now."

You tell Dillon Tem'kiar, "My part is done."

You tell Spirokai, "My offer was rather simple. 20k fine and a 6 month
enemy status(which you've already served so that's already taken care
of)"

Spirokai tells you, "Im sorry negotiations have not been reopened."

You tell Spirokai, "I was simply letting you know my offer so that you
can't lie when it shows up on public news."

Spirokai tells you, "All offers stated outside negotiations are noted as
unofficial, im sorry."

That ends my conversation with Spirokai(and Dillon)

Now, a few notes. You agreed to meet and negotiate in Ashtan, one on
one. Then suddenly you change it to two on two at the Crystal Leaf Inn.
Perhaps because Dillon, who has already stated his decision to side with
you against Duiran is enemied to Ashtan? Since you know I'm graced, why
the need to def up, bring all your ents, and a bodyguard? I'll take a
quote from your latest post to illustrate...Basic attributes that must
be met by both sides are equal numbers, equal grace status, and enough
intellect to understand what I have just said. If you are unwilling to
bring in the same amount of people, or meet alone, don't act so shocked
when I decide the whole thing is more or less an ambush and laugh in
your face. If you are unwilling to be ungraced when you meet me, you are
abstaining from showing me a token of faith that is miniscule in
comparison to the amount I have given to you for the two years that I
have rotted away under your repressive methods....

To begin breaking this down lets start at the beginning. Equal numbers,
yes that is preferable when negotiating. Equal grace status? I fail to
see how the grace of one party has any bearing on the outcome of the
negotiations. Enough intellect to understand what you just said?
Whatever, instance of childish attitude and arrogance that seem to make
up the larger part of your personality.

Moving right along, we come to the part about you smelling an ambush. If
YOU can smell an ambush...I can definitely smell one when someone brings
Dillon, who isn't on best terms with about 75% of Sapience), 18 entities
as well as your chariot, and then defs up right before my eyes before
negotiations even start. If you ask me that doesn't sound like someone
who's interested in negotiating. The part about the token of faith by
appearing before you ungraced is just as warped. Does someone who
actually intents to negotiate need all the before mentioned things? You
looked as if you were preparing for war rather than talking. And though
Dillon was kind enough to leave, I am well enough aware of how deceitful
and cunning he is.

So my question here today is, Who is the one unwilling to negotiate? I
come to you with an offer which you decide that you don't want to hear
on the basis that I won't reject grace. 20k fine and that's it. You're
time is already served. You yourself stated that when this whole
situation began you found Duiran's fine to be acceptable but yet you
disagreed with the time length for your enemy status. So who is the
unwilling party?

I apologize to those of you who read this post its entire length. I just
wanted to make sure you got the whole conversation and have my piece.
