Today changes in the nature of the spirits in the garden of whispers
area (which is now overgrown by jungle) were noticed. Having inhabited
the place since before recorded history, they were always kind, even
romantic spirits. Lately however the voices on the wind have begun to
take on a sinister tone. They no longer speak of light, but of hunting
the light. They no longer talk of devotion so much as devotion to
suffering.

Tasur'ke has lost two elders now recently, first the older one when this
event began and the new Elder Shoimoro hasn't been heard from since he
was hospitalized in a distant land safe from here three aetolian years
ago. Without an Elder and with the situation obviously continuing to
deteriorate the CoT has accepted me as its new leader. We are hence
forth taking on the following stance on the jungle emanating from the
totem.

That jungle area, henceforth refered to as the sprawl, and that area
alone will be exterminated by the CoT and it will stay exterminated.
Anyone who rejuvinates the sprawl will be considered an enemy of
Tasur'ke and attacked accordingly. Our goal in doing this is not to harm
the forest or nature itself but to defend Tasur'ke and its dying
civilization. If the sprawl is not rejuvinated by Druids, then surely
the totem itself will have to expend its energy on retaking the areas it
had conquered, thus stopping or at least slowing the process which is
destroying Tasur'ke.

Furthermore, the CoT are offering a 500,000 gold reward and noble status
within Tasur'ke society to anyone who can successfully remove or destroy
the totem. This plan of extermination is a temporary method by which we
hope to buy ourselves the time we need to find a better solution.

Lastly, to Haern's selected Benandanti, I believe it was established by
the Duiran council that exterminations within the area of the totem are
a defensive act and not an action worthy of being enemied from the
forests as a whole. If you enemy us for this then you can expect full
retaliation on all levels possible.

Any exterminations which take place outside of Tasur'ke are not
sanctioned by the leadership of the CoT.
