Very well,
Before I begin, I will note quite simply that further correspondence on
this subject in particular can be continued with me via mail, regardless
of which winged creature you choose to forward such by.
I will open up first of all by saying your general demeanor throughout
your posting leaves me rather conflicted. You either:
a. Opted for sarcasm, which ultimately achieved nothing.
or:
b. Chose to be so sickeningly polite that the undeniable urge to strike
you was rather consistent.
However, asides this general coflict, I will address the points as you
brought them up:
I did not cite the Infernals written code, the code I cited was of the
Arionic Code which not only myself, but a large number of the Paladins
live by. Also, if I recall, the Code is something that you, as a Knight
Aspirant, are expected to have full knowledge of.
I cannot claim the Infernals follow this Code at all, however, there was
once a time where a number of them did. Honor can be followed in a large
number of ways, the most common of which being that of honor on the
battlefield: showing respect to your enemies and allies alike. Wether
you be victor or the defeated.
I am unsure how you cannot see the written warning as a justified, and
fair, warning to those who may get caught in the path of battle: It is
rather typical for where the "head" goes, the body will follow it. Of
course, in this context Xon, being the leader of the Sentinels is the
"head", the rest of the Sentinels are the "body".
Therefore, it is rather easy to assume that the Sentinels, if present
for an attack on Xon, will spring to his defense. Lady Kylari's
forewarning simply points out that the Infernals acknowledge the threat
of this and that the Sentinels in Xon's or Wylliam's presence will be
treated as such.
As for your point on murder, I am unsure what concept you are struggling
with here. Two upstanding Knights meet in the field of battle, a Paladin
and an Infernal for argument's sake, they meet each other respectfully,
knowing full well that one will be leaving, the other will not.
Regardless of the acts leading up to that point, it ends with one Knight
"murdering" another, each for their own cause. The very same applies
here. The Sentinels swore fealty to the guild, the Infernals contest the
guild's strength. Both sides are soldiers fighting for their respective
causes.
If I was rather verbose for you in this, here is my attempt to make it a
bit easier to understand.
* The Infernals have gripes with Xon and Wylliam.
* Xon is the leader of the Sentinels, Wylliam being one of his
supporting staff.
* Since loyalty and integrity are largely accepted and expected in many
guilds, it is fair to assume (I will not say it is likely to happen)
that other Sentinels will defend their comrades in arms.
* The Infernals acknowledge the above and forewarn the Sentinels that
may get caught in the heat of battle. Which is actually a fairly
honorable act when they could just go right out and do it regardless.
Finally, I cannot make this clear enough, further correspondence can be
forwarded to me by mail, or by contacting me personally.
