Contestation

Greetings Reborn,

considering several recent events, I began to ponder contesting the
Caliph for his position. Upon discussing the matter with Caliph Harad,
receiving his blessing to contest him, and speaking to Consul Venturo, I
reached the needed number of supporting Consuls. I shall explain the
events that led me to my decision:

- I recently had an issue with Ve'kahi House. The Caliph stopped me by
claiming some 'mutual agreement' we've had with Ve'kahi. I am not aware
of any agreement like that, nor have I found it mentioned anywhere, nor
has anyone I have asked been familiar with it. I think that given his
past with Padishah Macha, some sort of personal agenda might have been
involved. While I do not hold it against him on personal level, I think
it is unacceptable for Leader of the Reborn, the Elitists.

- Furthermore, I was recently told the Caliph accepts the living in his
House, namely Ezrax. While it is his personal choice who he lets in his
House, I think it is a disgrace to our race and this kind of thing
should not be condoned by the Caliph, who is a leader of people striving
for the Elite of all Consanguine.

- Furthermore, there have been instances where I believe laws were
broken. In particular, "The enemies of the Imperial City shall be the
Enemies of the Bloodborn, and likewise, the enemies of the Reborn shall
be the enemies of the Imperial City.". I do not judge whether it was
right or not to keep people who fall into the category of 'enemies of
Bloodloch' as members. I think Caliph should have taken different route
to ensure this, namely by discussing it with guild and/or holding a
referendum.

- Lastly, I feel that the Caliph has not been able to devote as much
time to the Guild as he used to. I value him as a member and I think he
has been a good leader. However, the guild has grown somewhat stagnant
and a few people have complained to me about it. I think more discussion
with Guild is needed, and I think it is time to bring about necissary
change, so that the Guild can continue growing towards its goal of
perfection and Elitists.

I value the Caliph and what he has done a lot for the Reborn in the
past. I simply think his time has come to an end and for the betterment
of the guild he should be replaced. Maybe you ask why I should be the
one to replace him. I have proved to be capable of being one of the
leader of organization as larg as city of Bloodloch. I believe I am
capable of leading Reborn as well, as I am very familiar with our tenets
and laws. I have always been helping Reborn, novices and all members
that expressed their need for help.

This is why the election has been called. Should you have any additional
questions, make sure to contact me.

Always in darkness,

Prince Acino, Hand of Oblivion
