Conduit of Knowledge,
I would wager to speak to you on a level that you can understand, but I
daresay that you forgot the means of rational thought decades ago. You,
Conduit, who should look through and beyond Death to find enlightened
answers, to seek scholastic value, yet the simplest of phrases escapes
your pen. You die a slow death, Ezrax, to have forgotten the very fabric
of the numerology you sought to control, to have let the lessons from
the Matron we once both held dear slip through your fingers like water.
You of all people should understand that Light does not need Darkness in
order to be defined or have purpose, nor is the reverse true. Do you so
quickly forget the lessons of duality taught to us on that first day?
We, the chosen cadre, who learned what all Cabalists should never forget
and yet even this too is lost to you.
The workings of Spinesreach are hardly secret to those outside of its
walls. Its treachery runs deep, its lips loose, its volumes of writing
taken from it when its citizens come to their senses and go elsewhere. I
have led it as Dhasan, and it is no more special there than any other
city known to Sapience. But it is backwards, fed by egotistical
individualism rather than promoting its goals as a unit. Divided, it
will surely break apart as a house built upon the sand.
Change comes to all things, this is true. But will you change for
better, or for worse? Or will you simply lie to yourselves and believe
that everything will all be okay in the end? To cloak oneself in shadows
is to never truly See, and I pity you, Cabal, if that is to be your
fate.
It is not too late to redeem yourselves in the Light and overcome the
obstacles you have weighed upon your own shoulders. The Goddess of
Eternal Dawn rekindles all Spark once lost, you need only seek Her warm
embrace.
Redeemed by Fire,
Lisette McCloud
