Salutations one and all!

Before I get into this, please note that this post is only for those
interested in the prospect of Knowledge and the seeking thereof. It is
not for the dumb. It is not for the apathetic. It is not for those that
wish to merely drift through Life (or Unlife, as the case may be). This
post IS for those that can never stop asking "why?". This post IS for
those that cannot ever get enough information. This post IS for the
ignorant, those who wish to be taught so that they may one day be
teachers in turn.

"Why join the Cabalists?", one may ask. There are many, many reasons. To
start, many know of the Ankyreans. But did you know that it is we, the
Cabal, that inherited their Knowledge, and their potential for
greatness? It's true! We are a Guild of scholars. Education is very
important to us, and it is certainly a qualification to join. The Cabal
is also an intelligent and supportive atmosphere in which to conduct
research on a myriad of topics including: Biology, Sociology, Anatomy,
Philosophy, Linguistics, Ancestry, Heraldry, Geography... The list goes
on. We dedicate ourselves to our studies.

We also dabble in other matters, like politics. Did you know that both
Spinesreach and Bloodloch are currently led by Cabalists? It's true!
Also, many Cabalists occupy other political positions, such as
Ambassador and Dhasan. We do the best we can in anything we attempt. The
Ankyreans will one day be eclipsed by the Cabalists and you can be a
part of the process.

It's quite simple. All you have to do is send me a message or a tell
indicating your interest. From there, I will meet with you in person to
conduct an interview to see if you would be a proper fit for the Cabal.
Stagnancy is not an option and it is my job to make sure the new
recruits will work hard. Do keep that in mind before you contact me.

In addition, all are welcome to apply. We hold no grudge against those
of the Light that wish to join our fold, but know that we will be wary
of your intent. That's just how it must be until you can prove yourself
not a threat. I was enemied to Ashtan years ago for no other reason than
being Undead, and so, as I'm sure you can imagine, I'm a bit put off by
close-mindedness. Do note, also, that should you or I be hunted for
making choices that affect only ourselves, for example: Becoming Undead
or joining a different Guild. It only proves my point. I've never once
hunted another, nor been hunted. I'd like to keep it that way. I'm a
student and a teacher. Not a fighter.

So, in conclusion, we seek open-minded, willing students. We seek doers
and achievers. The Cabal doesn't *need* new recruits, but we understand
that there are many, many wasted minds out there, just waiting to be
nourished with information and study. Let us help you become more than
you ever thought you could be. Help the Cabal by letting the Cabal help
you. We all must be students before we can become teachers, this is the
Way. Let us show you how... and "Why?".
