Further changes in the Druids

Salutations all,

I hope your shadow falls upon lush forest grounds whilst reading this.

My previous post spoke of our stance towards cities. Many Walled were
appalled, and did not understand.

Only a few were quick to see the similarity with their own true
intentions, and were honest enough to themselves to acknowledge they too
want to see their believes grow. Meaning that to attain their goals the
city and civilization would have to expand, and more land would have to
be tamed.

I was glad to see such intellect, and do not fear they will erect Walls
everywhere next month. As we will not march on them.

I can only hope the same people and more will take the time to think
about my next announcement thoroughly, and put them selves in our place.
Before screaming for action.

Long ago, the Druid were neutral. We kept to the forest and ensured the
fight between Paladins and Infernals, and their allies, did not affect
us. More importantly: did not affect Nature.

Druids were allowed to sell herbs to all, and were free to side with
anyone on any conflict not affecting our Path.

Then vampires grew in numbers, Undead started to roam the land, and the
battle was brought our way. For the abominations walking outside of the
Cycle were aided by some and fought by others already. Picking an ally
was easy.

In doing so we forgot why we were given our skills, why we were granted
Her bounty.

There is Hope for all who are still close enough to Nature to be healed
by it. It is our duty to heal them. Not selling to them is as foolish as
Duiran trying to influence the world trough herbs for all those years.

Not selling to Syssin directly does not do away with the fact that in
the end, all the herbs they eat were not picked by their, but by our
hands. It is not by some foul magic that some living can still be healed
by Her. Nothing has such sway over Nature. It is by Her choice that we
still can.

Not selling to them only pushes them towards syringes for healing, and
further away from Nature and Life.

It will remain forbidden to sell to any named enemies of our allies in
the Unity for Life alliance. But it will be left to the personal choice
of the respective Druid to sell or not sell to anyone still living.

We realize this will be seen as treason by some. I say there is no Honor
in fighting an enemy without means to heal themselves. And we will not
shame our duty as Druids for rules forced upon us by those who still for
instance forge for the group we are not to sell to.

Furthermore, I started to try and teach some Walled the art of
harvesting decades ago. And some show great promise. By wandering
Nature, albeit fueled by their desire for herbs at first, they are drawn
from the Cathair. And might understand us better one day.

We were never given this gift to keep it to ourselves.
Or to use it as leveriche over people.
We will use it to heal.
To keep in some touch with people who can still be saved.
To show Nature to civilization.
