Greetings!

My name is Orton and I am running for the position of Maven of Devotion.
I have big plans for the Conclave of Devotion! Not that I think the
Conclave of Devotion has become idle, but with the recent changes in the
structure of the Conclaves there has not been time to do much. I will
first take a minute to share with those who dont know me, a little about
me. I am the Mahau Jawanu in House Vekahi and have been studying
mysticism and spirituality from the day I escaped Slavers Island. I
believe that one member cannot change anything by themselves; it takes
groups to achieve anything. I am one of high hopes, my dreams are
usually larger than reality can handle. So if reality cannot handle it,
then reality must be pushed to its limits! That basically sums me up; I
never stop trying to push myself as well as other things to the limit.
Hey, I even lost a finger pushing myself, but I still succeeded.

As for my high hopes for the Conclave, there are too many to list.
Besides, most of you wont want to spend half a day listening this so I
will keep this short. I am intent on pulling the Conclave together as to
hold discussions and lectures. I am more so intent on holding lectures
on all of the Gods and hear from all those in attendance. There is also
a need for more conversation; the silence within the Conclave of
Devotion is most unsettling. While it should not be cluttered with
useless chatter, there should be something stirring even a little bit
and I hope to be that which stirs up the pot. What we also need are more
chances to celebrate the Gods as well, we need to hold celebrations!

While the Gods that watch over our magnificent city are truly amazing,
we must not forget to study and learn from the teachings of the other
Divine. It must be remembered that no Divine is an enemy and should
never be disrespected in any means and if elected I will not tolerate
the bashing of any of the Divine; discussion and debate are one thing
when it comes to the ideas of the Divine, but even though they may
conflict with our ideas, we must remember the we do not even contain a
speck of the knowledge that the Divine as a Whole have! We have not come
as far as we have without the touch of each of the Divines Hands!
Although I am probably unknown to most of you, I feel that I will make a
splendid addition as the Maven of Devotion.

-May the Divine have a place in your mind, spirit, and hearts and help
you choose wisely,

Master Orton, Mahau Jawanu

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Niuran, in the year 212 MA.
