The only respect you have ever 'earned' is within your own mind, which,
as my memories of you might suggest, is an intriguing place. Quite
unlike anything else in Sapience, I'm sure. Also, for the record,
sympathy is not something that requires acceptance, and certainly you
don't deserve it, but it can be given nonetheless.

Whatever scrap of an organization remains of the Cabal is hardly fit to
waste gold on- though sadly, I find myself inexplicably drawn to do so.
You can't form a coherent argument with anyone who disagrees with you,
so instead you blame them for not understanding your nonsense.
Brilliant, I must admit, though not exactly what comes to mind when I
think of a scholar.

However, I can't bring myself to enlighten you, and it would come to no
good in any case. If you feel the need to respond, to tell me I was
never worthy of having been in the Cabal or whatever, please do, I would
consider it quite an honor coming from you. Tells or messages would be
fine as well.

For the next few months, should you intend to grace the area outside of
Spinesreach with your presence, I will see to it that your own head is
sent to you, free of charge, of course.
