Templar, the Traitor and Dishonourable Knight
For those of you that don't know, Templar was recently ejected from
Ashtan for attempting to blackmail the Overseer in order to further his
own power. These actions of course, bring up some qusetions. Infernals
stake alot on honour, and Templar is their GM. Now, I'm sure a guild of
theives would consider Blackmail, for lack of a more exact word,
honourable. But, and i'm taking this from the help file for the guild,
"The Infernals are a blend of fighting, discipline, and
necromantic;magic....Despite their evil ways, however, Infernals
maintain a strict code of honour." They are knights, not theives
So that leaves us with the question, why do the infernals support a
dishonorable leader? Intresting indeed. Perhaps he holds something
against many of them, yet more signs of dishonour. Yet, even after his
dishonour, shouldn't the guild have taken action? Here I shall quote
again, "They do not tolerate dissent, and punishment is swift and hard
for those who break the rules of the guild, or violate the honour of
it." So than, should not the guild have ejected the dishonourable
coward?
Let us look at that last line again :
They do not tolerate dissent, and punishment is swift and hard for those
who break the rules of the guild, or violate the honour of it.
By Templar's own words, no member of the Infernals was to join the city
of Shallam. For those of Shallam are weak and spineless. This also
brings forth questions. For the simple act of joining Shallam, does
Templar admit his own weakness, his spinlessness, his cowardance? If so,
than I ask again, why does the Infernal guild back him? IF it does not
say these things about Templar, why again, would the Infernal guild back
a leader who does not follow the rules he has laid out for the guild?
And Shallam, I for one am curious as to why you would allow someone into
your city that the city of Ashtan has found to be traitorous. Perhaps
you don't honour Ashtan's choices? It is intresting that you would admit
someone into your ranks, who so few weeks ago hated you. One who has
proven with his actions that he cares not for the city of which he
resides, as long as he is able to manipulate for power.
To the leaders of Shallam, you have recently come to us with requests of
peace. We of Ashtan are unsure what to think. You harbor our criminals,
yes you wish to make peace with us. You embrace those whom seek to stab
us in the back, and expect us to believe that you don't have such an
intention. Shouldn't our city see your actions as disrespect towards us?
The Infernal guild has choosen to leave Ashtan to follow a dishonourable
and cowardous leader. One who hides behind grace at times, which again,
as stated in the help files, is a must never happen. Yet again your
leader shows dishonour to your rules and traditions. Yet you follow him
alway from your home. I ask this of the Infernals : You leave your home,
you spit on your traditions and rules, how than, are you an Infernal? If
you do not believe in your ways, than perhaps you should join the
Paladins. No insult towards the paladins, it just occurs to me that
perhaps those of the Infernal guild joined the wrong guild.
I would like to welcome those Infernals who in fact, follow the beliefs
and traditions of thier guild, back to the Iron Citadel. Until than,
perhaps it can be used as a hotel if the guild would rather follow a
dishonourable and cowardious leader away from their home, and leave
thier once proud Citadel empty, forges cold and falconry quiet.

I await the return of the honourable Infernals,
Aquifn
