spirean hysterics

Message after message of innocent syssins being "forced" into
war because of a situation they are all innocent of. I've never in
my life heard so many stories and excuses about a singular
situation. The simple facts are that a syssin is suspected of
committing the crime of forcing someone to withdraw money from
our bank and depositing it into a clan held by Caboose. Now,
since it isn't the first time such an attack has been made on
Duiran, and the people who have been attacked have all put their
memories together, it wasn't difficult to deduce.
All of this talk of "war" that whelp Vasilus has brainwashed the
Spireans with has certainly grabbed the entire city by its wits.
Everytime a Spirean talks out loud all I hear is "so-and-so is
trying to drag us into war!!!!!" I would have thought that most
people could easily see through his paranoia, but I suppose if
the old adage is true, sleeping with dogs will give you fleas,
I shouldn't be surprised at all.
Your city houses the Keeper of Bloodloch quite regularly, and if
you believe there is no love lost between syssin and him, I guess
the rest of the world that has experienced his forrays into the
world must have imagined the syssin that happen to be with him. I
understand if your memory is failing you, but I'm still young
enough to be able to recall a situation recently with Elias in
which the logs recorded such an incident.
Much like Ashtan, we've found no need for the constant harassment
of syssin killing our councilors, robbing people, and now this
very well-thought and executed plan by syssin to rob a bank.
I've had to remove syssin myself from spying in Duiran. What the
syssin can do is jump on the paranoia bandwagon whelp Vasilus
is herding, or just realize simply that syssin are unwelcome
agents of artifice in our home. Turning this into anything more
is simple hysterics. If the Spireans are having internal conflict
regarding their city or guilds, it doesn't make much sense to
accuse a group of forestals who can't really be bothered one
way or another with a corrupt government and some sickly land
that is harbouring undead. You must have grand imaginings and
lots of time to be able to concoct stories that sound feasible
even to yourself.
Further protests of syssin innocence will fall on deaf ears.
Simply put, syssin are unwelcome in Duiran. People like Noxume
that protest about how much they've done for the wilds would
be hardpressed to convince me. When Tasur'ke was occupied by
a statue created by a syssin who poses as a Lleisian for the
purpose of corrupting the village and destroying the life
in that city, it was syssin that helped destroy the wilds. I
remember being enemied to the Spires for trying to prevent
that corruption and while I personally feel it was a act
of war on the wilds, do you find me trying to enter the
Spires over and over and then making lengthy posts about my
unjust treatment? No.
Did I threaten the citizens and try to rally every gullible
fool I could with claims of a "war" against Duiran? No.
Some things are simply just that, simple things. In this
case it seems the syssin are unwilling to take responsibility
for their part as lapdogs of corruption. Public threats and
hostile acts of theft and death against forestals are as
visible to others as they are to us. We simply choose to
find the syssin unwelcome in our homes. Make it into some
other thing if you are unable to accept that if it takes
the sting out of it for you.
As a Benandanti myself, I'm amused at the incredible amount
of power the Syssin attribute to Wylliam. His role here
is the role of defense in Duiran. Your "defenders" that
spend so much time in the wilds hunting and killing the
forestals, or in the sewers of Enorian, are confused at
best about where the boundries of the Spires are. Maybe
your famous university has classes on geography, that I
would hope it does at any rate.
Duiran has my full support in taking a stance against
not only the undead, but those who support the undead. I
also find that the syssin are undesirable as guests in
our home and will be refused any of the bounties of
nature by myself as well. I would hope that, like Ashtan,
the syssin will realize that their actions, whether by
a few or by many, they have lost another place to linger.
That sounded confusing, but what I meant was that we
welcome the syssin as much as our ally Ashtan does. That
is to say, not at all. The syssin were given an option
to remedy this situation and so far, all of them lack
the authority to do it. One hopes for a responsible bit
of leadership within the syssin to hear the cries of
so much innocence and find resolution with Duiran.
