Your facts

I thought that, as I aged, I would cease to be surprised by stupidity.

The story I am hearing is that a Syssin made you do it. Very well, we'll
overlook your lack of proof and simply assume that they somehow avoided
the guard of your animals and the defenses of the grove you sit in. The
culprit waited until you went to your bank and had you deposit this gold
into the account of a clan belonging to the Keeper of Bloodloch, a city
that has never been shown favor by nor been given favor by the Syssin.
Very well, now the gold is in a different account in a bank that cannot
be reached. By all estimation, an excellent and well executed plan.
Lanos knows, the Syssin needed the gold. Of course, the logical response
is drag your government into a fight with an organization you know does
not actually have the gold you said you lost. I'd be asking Caboose for
my gold if I were you, but I understand people think differently under
the influence of the clean, rural air.

While this interpretation of events does sound reasonable at first, I
cannot help but think it doesn't quite make sense; that it might have
been something else. For some time, you've been beating the Duiran bush
to try and get some allies to help you with your Spirean vendetta, to
see your head removed from its display in Tasur'ke - the most recent
result being raids into the forest by large groups of Spireans to the
constant harassment offered by you and your lapdogs. In fact, you've
been witnessed publicly discussing of ways to get your reluctant
brothers to assume your burden. It seems more likely to me that you are
simply trying to continue this, trying to get people to fight your
fights for you, looking for ways to obligate people and organizations to
protect you. Or maybe you just wanted to steal some gold after being
abruptly removed from the Sentinel guild and 'The Syssin made me do it'
was the best thing you could come up with. Knowing your critical
reasoning abilities, I'm equally divided upon which is more likely.

In either case, I'm sure that those who you presume to lead can see the
folly of your response. One shall hope that democracy will remedy the
situation it created in electing you. Failing that, those who answer
your call to hunt Spirean defenders will understand why you cannot do so
on your own.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Lanosian, in the year 204 MA.
