Change

I apologize for how poorly this is written but my hands are tired and my
mind is not what is once was.

I am but an insignificant old woman whom has been away for a century.
This world has brought sadness into my poor heart when I see what we
have become. This place is ever changing and I do not believe it is for
the best.

My dear Enorian, why have you forsaken your name as Jewel of the East?
Your great name used to inspire me and now that has been taken away
Ashtan, even when you were titled the City of Corruption you still held
a beacon of balance. You gladly sheltered the world and all of its
people whether good or evil, living or dead, man or beast

To a few of the guilds that have changed, was it really for the best?
Shadow Snakes, my heart weeps for you. The independence you once knew is
now but a footnote in time; but if you are truly happy with what you
have become than I congratulate you on this mighty decision you all have
made. To the Infernals and former Occultists, you began your change even
before my time. The great move from Ashtan to Bloodloch marks a
sorrowful day; for that is truly when the City of Corruption started
down the slow path towards her present day pitfall.

To all the new guilds that have risen in this time I welcome you with
open arms and an open heart. The diversity you bring to this realm
brings a smile to this old wrinkled face of mine.

To those of you who think these words are just the ramblings of a crazed
old woman, you should look around yourself for my heart is not the only
one that weeps. The Yggdrasil Tree, cries with me and the once brilliant
Flame has now all but died out.

In closing I offer my prayers to those whom have fallen especially to
the great scholar Epicurus. Your teachings in life remain with me always
and I hope to see you again one day in the next life.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Khepary, in the year 204 MA.
