Hypocrisy

Macian, please. The last thing I would want in this world would be
compassion from people I despise. I find that idea rather sickening, and
it isn't what I asked. I asked to stop hearing about it. That comment
was directed against some people that have claimed they follow light or
life or whatever because my kind know nothing about mercy or kindness. I
merely wished to enlighten them of the definition of hypocrisy.

Someday, we should get into a discussion of what this 'Balance' is,
exactly. I feel that might be a highly fascinating conversation, as I've
never quite understood it. Not a follower of Balance myself, of course,
but it has always been my understanding that it is the 'balance' -hence
the word, right?- between Light and Darkness, Life and Death, Good and
Evil, etc, etc. You might make a case, however weak, that the undead are
outside of this balance, but if necromancers are outside of it, then it
seems so too are Daru and Luminaries.

It is my belief that Balance leads to apathy, and thus the real reason
you don't follow the literal definition of it. Perhaps I have the
details wrong, but I feel confident, at least, that I know which side of
it I support.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Niuran, in the year 198 MA.
