Lions and tigers and mortals, oh my

Lady Isabis, I must say that your post has made imminent the extent of
the mortal danger in which I find myself. Blood is really terrible food
for thought.
On a serious note, I must say my mother was quite wise to have named me
as she did. It's a wonderful perfunctory test of anyone's intelligence.
If their minds have transcended the ordinary so much as to not be able
to copy my name from a scroll, difficult as it is, why, then their
intellect is obviously vastly superior to my own humble possessions.

And Aegera, sweetie, I am quite proud of my eyes. They're a lovely deep
blue with little silver twinkles in them. Were I not so self-disciplined
I might have developed a serious case of narcissism, but for now I limit
gazing into my own eyes to once a day. Except, unfortunately, I can't
seem to look into a mirror. Ooops?

In the meantime, I think I will go pack my family jewels into my coffin
and prepare to evacuate my family castle just in case the sheer
intellectual genius of some overblooded mortals sends the cavern
crashing over my body. Then again, I can always just grow a new one...

Grand Duchess Silmarillion Bahir'an

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Slyphian, in the year 72 MA.
