The "Mersalis" Issue.

Let me begin this waste of my financial stability by stating that I have
nothing against Mersalis. He and I, as forgers, are rather friendly to
one another. Personally, I find it against my better judgement to hunt
someone whom I consider a "friend." However, I believe Melkiah did a
rather good job of summing it up. When you are initiated into the
Infernals you take an Oath. That Oath is to loyalty to the Infernals and
their cause. Mersalis is no longer a member of the Infernals, he has
broken that Oath. The punishment for such treason is death. Not a single
death, but a life of being hunted by those you once fought along side
of.

To Povox: He really isn't the coldest man alive. He is close, but not
the coldest. He simply knows the value of an Oath, and knows what must
be done.

Also, the choice to allow Rogues a 10,000 gold a year donation for their
general well-being, is rather kind of them. Considering that, as Oceania
said, he IS a forger. He makes quite a bit of money in his proffesion.
However, he did break an Oath, and you Oceania, broke your Oath to your
guild as I recall. I, personally, am angered that Mersalis bought steel
when the two guilds, who don't exactly work together most of the time,
actually tried to work together to do something.
Mersalis bought steel, that angers me. But I forgot to tell him that it
was banned for a few days for the general populace. It wasn't exactly
for our own profit. (Well, for mine it was). It was so that people who
forge can offer high quality product to consumers at a lower expense.
Simple economics Oceania.
However, Oceania has a point. Those two little mongrels who teamed me
and killed me, had every right to be slaughtered. I attacked them in
Shallam, yes. I refuse to pay the fine for their cowardice.

And finally, to Stickley.
This, please don't fight, peace is the answer, arguement of yours grows
rather tiresome. You are a pacifist, that is blatently obvious, however,
not everyone is. Many things will only be solved by violence ending the
discussion. Not everything can be solved by words, that is why Varian
has blessed some with the ability to fight, and some with the ability to
talk. I am not a good speaker, and I am not the best fighter, but I am
rather handy with a broadsword. If I cannot convince someone how wrong
they are with my razor-sharp tongue, they feel the end of my broadsword.
Preferably in the gut before I rip it out of them. (quite gruesome I
know, but extremely entertaining).

Steel protect my Flesh, Honour shield my soul.
Koujin Xorai.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Midautumn, in the year 72 MA.
