Predetermined Conclusions

I write to all of Enorian, but more specifically to those who have
recently attacked Lady Niuri. After an attempt to learn the reason
behind Aren's recent attacks, it became clear to me that it is within
the mortal's realm of thought to construct predetermined ideas to
satisfy what they wish to hear and believe. I attempted to draw out of
our discussion an understanding for the teachings of the inner spark,
but this proved to be a taxing matter. Aren did make an effort to
explain the inner spark to me, but his description was vague and
unclear. First described to me as a power given to the divine through
life, then as "something that comes from inside to enable you to help
yourself and others." Then Aren described the undead unfit for this
world "because they have willingly given up their inner spark and become
outside of the cycle". So is the inner spark something given by the
divine, a give power and authority to help yourself and others only
justified through life? I am still unclear about these teachings and
will continue to seek an understanding through my studies.

Another misconceived idea is that I have been hiding and taking refuge
inside Lady Niuri's temple. Again, a fabricated idea to justify the
actions of those who have recently attacked Her and Her order. The
purpose behind my recent actions does not involve Her Order (as Her
purpose is to teach Her children to seek understanding and turn over
stones to reveal truths that lie in mystery). My slaying of the Luminary
guild tutor was done with a defined purpose of revealing the corrupt
teachings of life. It seems to me that many define life as a physical
embodiment of breathing air and living within the natural processes of
life. Rejecting the undead's right of existence in this world is to not
be truthful with oneself, because they are in fact a part of the
intricate cycle of life and death. According to your teachings, the
resurrection of fallen friends cheats this cycle that many have used as
a reason to consider the undead fit for this world. As I mentioned
previously, I am willing to discuss with Enorian's council their
teachings--but they must indeed be willing.

I would like to make clear that if I am in Lady Niuri's temple it is
because I am giving Her thanks or studying scrolls and books. I ask that
the attacks against Lady Niuri be reconsider and that you seek the true
purpose to direct your aggressions toward.

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Haernos, in the year 188 MA.
