After years of planning, the City of Spinesreach is pleased to announce
the beginning of the Grand Aetolian Chess Tournament. This particular
tournament is asimilar to others before it, in that each Guild, City,
and Official House will be able to send one representative to compete.

There is a grand trophy to be won. This trophy will be given to the
winning organization so they will be forever reminded of their
accomplishments. The trophy will bear the name of the winning team, and
their representative. We hope that everyone will send their best chess
players to compete.

The tournament has officially started and is now in its first stage:
each organization has exactly one year from this date to determine their
best suited player in whatever fashion they wish. There will be an easy
entrance fee of 2,000 gold sovereigns, to cover some of the costs.
