Addressed to: Everyone
My name is Stickley, for Stickley is who I am. At long last my
silence is ended.
Long did I meditate and hard did I contemplate my plight. My
soul in anguish over the thought that I would have to give up my
quest for priesthood or else enter into combat and do harm
to a fellow traveller on the road of light. Perhaps the answer was
always in my heart or maybe it was a gift from Lanos, Lord of Truth,
but an answer I did find and a path to follow. Many
are the citizens of Aetolia, and the knowledge I quest for, being
not lost, can be gathered from the people. Also, even though I shun
the idea of combat for combats sake, others there are who do not
share my ideals. Perhaps they, after becoming afflicted, do not posess
the resources to remedy their maladies, To them I will render free
aid, and in so doing learn that which I need to know.
The road of truth is a simple road and there is great honor upon it.
Penned by my hand on the 13th of Midsummer, in the year 72 MA.
