Your sentiments are quite worthy, Atabahi; however, few will appreciate
them for what they are unless you first learn to hold your quill the
correct side up. I can only assume you are a genius and that this
minute, yet essential detail escaped you and caused your previously
ingenious words to become blotted and inane. I am wise enough to realize
that you cannot possibly be this much of an imbecile.

Furthermore, if you serve only yourselves, this begs the question: Why,
then, is your Den within the city of Spinesreach? Why, then, are many of
your citizens Spirean? And the final request, made sheerly out of
confusion and obvious error: if you serve none but yourselves, what,
then, do you intend to do should the city of Spinesreach be invaded?
Perhaps you could claim this is for mutual benefit, but I doubt whether
the Atabahi could so much as exist, let alone thrive, as an independent
organization. Thus, in some manner, you serve Spinesreach.

I do not argue that the Consanguine hold no sway over you, however -
here, at least, it would seem your original intent remained unaltered.
