HEAR YE ACROSS THE LANDS!
In the month of Arios, in the year 180, a grand Masquerade Ball was held
in the city of Spinesreach commemorating the celebration of Shadow and
Mystery. Staged within the gazebo of the Gardens of the Spirean
Institute, musicians and dancers alike gathered bedecked in costumes and
masks concealing each participant in varying disguises of mirth, beauty,
power and horror.
Several brave souls entered their costumes in a contest held that night.
Choosing amongst these wondrous designs was no easy task. The winners
were chosen based overall visual affect, detail in the handcrafting, and
creativity in design. After careful deliberation and consultation, the
winners were chosen and are as follows.
The Grand Prize and awarded fifteen credits: Noxume Elistar for her
stunning portrayal of an elegant being of ice.
First Prize and awarded ten credits: Landara Forestwalker for lighting
our ball with her delicate portrayal of what could have been the soul of
the moon itself.
Second Prize and awarded five credits: Professor Golgo for his
titillatingly gruesome portrayal of a blood golem.
Second Prize and awarded five credits as well: Jasmyn Elistar for her
delightful, feathery frilled warbler.
The Directors Prize for best coordinating couples costumes and doing so
with all the detail and creativity awarded the other winners goes to our
former Ard-Dhasanis Karim and Mahakala Elistar for their humorous choice
in depicting the Pixie Queen and the Imp Lord of Minia. They have each
received five credits.
