As you specified, I chose to 'waste' my time perusing over your post.
You may consider this an official response.
We have every 'right' to say what we feel, believe, and thrive with.
Each city, guild, person, order, or Divinity we direct that to also has
the right of a rebuttal and a response. I..won't address specifically
each of your misguided points, such as...we are nothing more than
hermits? I...no, I shan't laugh. 'Twould make my quill wobble
excessively so.
The Sentinels are indeed the Voice of the Forest. Of the Wilds. That has
not changed. If it had, you would not be addressing us, and I would not
be addressing you. My point is solidified by the fact that we are the
first, the foremost, and the most vociferous persons to speak against
this harm to the Rhythm.
Rhaea did not arise from slumber one morn and declare "I will pull all
of the Sentinels from Cities!". She - as was our guild - reawakened to
our Purpose, both uallach and los - by the guidance of our Lord. A
purposeful comparison could be the Syssin, who were re-founded. We did
not need so drastic a change, but simply a reemphasis of what the
Sentinels are. Actions such as this opposition to the Pit are fluid with
our ideals and desires.
We - or perhaps - only I acknowledge and realize that a suggestion is
merely that, and naught more. One was requested, many were proposed, one
was chosen. Accepted or not, our mission continues. I am loathe to, and
as such, will not to describe further, for we as Sentinels, and I
personally am in no place or position to have to fall down and depict
ourselves to your whims.
Alas, if we could 'force' Spinesreach into the 'nature of the wilds', as
you so..eloquently... put it, I would. No, no. Our goal is to abolish
this practice, not only from Spinesreach, but from any commons area, and
any spot, civilized or not. Let the Hunter and the Prey be as they are.
I would dishonor myself and those that I represent if I did not stab
into your last point. Muting us? Hardly. Find me an example. Strong as
ever, vigilant as any.
As always, with best regards, I remain
Very truly yours,
Ioho Teididh Aingeal, Lord Nightshadow Retivar.
